The Senior Section is for boys & girls in Year 10 to Year 13.
What do they do?
Senior section boys lead their own programme, supported by our officers. They choose the challenges they would like to take on and can organise it themselves. The Challenge Plus programme encourages boys to complete one-off challenges and more in-depth projects both of which can be tackled individually or as part of a team.
Duke of Edinburgh's Award
Following on from Company Section, Seniors are able to take part in the Duke of Edinburgh's Award scheme.
5th has had many of Gold Award recipients, including our current captain!
Trips Abroad
Our Seniors organized an amazing trip to the Normandy Beaches, to visit historical WWII battlefields and memorials. They planned everything from activities and accommodation to the ferry ride and fund raising. It was extremely successful and everyone who went had a great time.
When do they meet?
Senior Section meets every Thursday from 7:30pm until 9:30pm.
